Central UMC is a place where people from different backgrounds come together in love to travel a shared real-world faith journey.
Our congregation has a long history of showing love and care to those around us. We welcome people from all walks of life in a diverse and inclusive environment. Our mission statement is:
Loving and serving God through authentic relationships and extravagant hospitality
We are a long-time supporter of Neighborhood House, and their International Learning Program operates out of the lower level of our facility. We gladly welcome these refugees with open arms. Our church is also a member of Milwaukee Inner-City Congregations Allied for Hope (MICAH).
Our building is unique and eco-friendly – as an early leader in green construction with a plant roof and solar tower. You can read more from the Society of Architectural Historians. Additionally, architectural authors have written about this unique and eco-friendly design, which was ahead of its time.

Central UMC hosts the Black Diaspora Symphony Orchestra. Photos are from their 3rd Annual Concert for Missing and Departed Children, which was held on December 17, 2023.
